Lactobacillus acidophilus will not produce cytochrome C oxidase so it will be oxidase negative. It will not reduce the nitrogen so it is also negative on nitrate reduction test. As it farments and produce acid so it produce a metalic green sheen colonies on EMB agar. As it does not causes any hemolysis so it will not show any hemolysis in blood agar
