Question
Determine the value of C in the network shown in the figure for the circuit to be in resonance.
Let us think about what resonance means in this problem. Consider the voltage source VS, the labeled currents, the impedance (Z1, Z2) and admittance (Y1, Y2) elements in the I1 and I2 current paths. Which statement is true at the resonant condition?
Determine the value of Cin the network shown in the figure for the circuit to be in resonance. 9 n 4 cos o tV 8 n 17H Let us think about what resonance means in this problem. Consider the voltage source vs, the labeled currents, the impedance (zi, za) and admittance (Y, Yo elements in the L and L current pathis Which statement is true at the resonant condition? Re(I Re(12) O Im(II) Im (-12)Explanation / Answer
In resonant condition reactive part of total impedance is zero it means current will be in phase with voltage.
here given voltage is start with 0 degree angle so for resonant condition I should also be with 0 degree angle.
now I=I1+I2.
so for I to be in 0 degree imaginary part of I should be zero. and to make imaginary part of I zero sum of imaginary parts of I1 and I2 must be zero
So Im(I1)+Im(I2)=0
so Im(I1)=Im(-I2)
second condition is true
hope this will help
