Because the shape of the transmitted signal may be changed during the transmission. The shape of the received signal should be same as the transmitted signal.So we are trying to recover the shape of the transmitted signal.

b. According to shannons law C=B*log(1+SNR), heighest data rate of digital communication channel depends on Bandwidth and Signal-to-Noise ratio.

Because According to shannons law C=B*log(1+SNR)=10000*log(1+infinite)=infinite.
