Question

Write out a matrix equation that can be solved for the unknowns.

Solve the equation in MATLAB and display the results in a table appropriately labeled with titles and units for the quantities of interest.

Provide tables of results and a small discussion of your observations for the following cases:

1: The original baseline case presented above

2: What happens if resistor #3 is increased to 10,000 ohms (a relatively large value)?

3: What if resistor #2 is removed from the circuit, i.e. its value is reduced to zero?

R3 Battery 12 Volts 0 Volts 3- 25 ohms 75 ohms

Explanation / Answer

for above circuit total resistance is 200 ohm

supply voltage is 12v (V4-V1=12)

so current passing through the circuit is 12/200 = 60 milli amps

2. if R2 is incresed to 10000 ohm so total resistance is increased to 10125 ohm

if total resistance is changed. current will also changed to 12/10125 = 1.185 milli amps

3. if R2 is reduced to zero . the circuit behaves like a open circuit (because it is a serires circuit). so current will be zero.
