Explanation / Answer

c) Total volume of mould V= LxBxt= 0.2x0.1x0.01= 0.0002 m3

Volume fraction of fibers= 54 %

Hence volume occupied by fibers Vf= 0.54x0.0002= 0.000108 m3

Therefore available volume in mould cavity for resin is

Vm= V-Vf= 0.0002-0.000108=0.000092 m3
