There is a point on the x-axis, at x less than infinity, where the electric field goes to zero.(a) Show by conceptual arguments that this point cannot be located between the charges. (b) Show by conceptual arguments that the point cannot be at any location between x = 1.00 m and x = negative infinity.
(c) Show by conceptual arguments that the point must be between x = 1.00 m and x = positive infinity.(d) Use the values given to find the point and thus show that it is consistent with your conceptual argument.

a) ,b) and c) : as positive charge is located at origin, there electric field direction will be away from charge. where as at negative charge it will be pointing towards the charge. so in between these two charges fields add up. so there is no chance of getting zero. where as if you take point after x=1 u see that field towards origin is pointing in one direction and one feild due to charge at x=1 is pointing in other direction .so here there is posibility of getting zero.
