let v is the speed of rabit after jumping from first cart.

using conservation of momemtum

0.052*v = 0.35*0.86

v = 0.35*0.86/0.052

= 5.79 m/s

now apply conservation of momentum after the rabit jumps to second cart

(0.052 + 0.25)*v2 = 0.052*5.79

v2 = 0.052*5.79/(0.052 + 0.25)
