Relationship between GLUT 4 and Type 2 diabetes: In type 2 diabetes GLUT 4 function gets disrupted that leads to hyperglycemia i.e more glucose in body fluids.

What is ZFP407? How was it identified?ZFP407 is a protein. It was identified through a targeted siRNA screen.

Role of ZFP407: it regulates many peroxisome proliferator activated receptor target genes and acts as a modulator of PPAR signaling pathway.

Significance of this study: It helps to understand type 2 diabetes and will help to find a cure for the disease through understanding of signaling pathway.
