Electron is moving towards - ve plate. Since electric field is always from +ve to - ve plate in capacitor i.e. High potential to low potential so - ve charge plate have lower potential hence electron is moving towards low potential region.

Now, W =q(Vf - Vi)

Where Vf and Vi are initial and final potential.

Thus as electron is moving Vf is increasing magnitude wise having - ve sign and q is also - ve so potential energy will increase.

Hence option A is correct.
