(a) Find the normal force for box for Bob’s and Thomas’ situation in terms of FBob and FTom. (b) Find the frictional force in each case (again in terms of FBob and FTom. (c) Noting that the boxes move at constant speed on level ground, find FBob and FTom. Show that Thomas exerts less force than Bob.

B) Friction = uN
Friction1 = 0.5*(10*9.8 +0.5FBob)
Friction2= 0.5*(10*9.8 - 0.5FTom)
C) FBob cos 30 degree = 0.5*(98+ 0.5FBob)
(0.866-0.25) FBob = 49
FBob = 49/0.616 N
Similarly FTom cos 30 degree = 0.5*(98-0.5*FTom)
FTom*(0.866+0.25) = 49
FTom = 49/1.116 N
Clearly FTom is less.
