An arrow, starting from rest, leaves the bow with a speed of24.6 m/s. If the average force exerted on the arrow by the bow wasincreased 2 times and the arrow was accelerated over the samedistance, then with what speed would the arrow leave the bow?

We know that           F.s = (1/2)mv2             F v2 Therefore we get          F1/F2=v12/v22 Then the speed of the arrow that leave the bow                 v2 = v1 (F2/F1)                     = (24.6m/s)2F/F                     = 34.7844m/s Then the speed of the arrow that leave the bow                 v2 = v1 (F2/F1)                     = (24.6m/s)2F/F                     = 34.7844m/s
