Question
A particle of mass m moving along the x axis experiences thenet force Fx = ct, where c is a constant. The particle has avelocity of Vox at time t=0. Find an algebraicexpression for the particles velocity Vx at a later time t. Express your answer in terms of variables, c, t, m, and Vox. Ive been thinking about this one for a week now, still notgetting it. The one I tried but isn't correct is... Vox + .5 (ct/m) t^2 Help please!! I'm likely late but this one isnt too hard if you use calc your kinematics equations wont work because it isnt a constant F = ma F = ct ma = ct a = (ct)/m add dt and integrate both sides v = (ct^2)/2m + C you know your C because you were given Vo so your final answer is v = (ct^2)/2m + Vox
