R1 = 26 ohm , R2 = 80 ohm

R1 = R

a)

the equivalent resistance , Req = 12 /0.88 = 13.63 ohm

as they are in parallel

1/Req = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3

1/13.63 = 1/26 + 1/80 + 1/R

solving for R

R = 44.6 ohm

b)

the current through R1 , I1 = V/R1 = 0.46 A

the current through R2 , I2 = V/R2 = 0.15 A

the current through R3 , I3 = V/R3 = 0.27 A

c)

when the current is more than 0.88 A

as the resistances are in parallel
