Thank you!!

If a cork were placed on the node of the seiche, what motion would the cork have ogs cool their bodies by sticking out their tongues and panting, which causes saliva in ther mouth and respiratory system to evaporate. The normal breathing rate of a dog is about 30 breaths a minute. The respiratory system of about 5 Hz. of a medium-sized dog has a resonance frequency (A) In breaths per minute, how fast would a dog be breathing if it were to pant at the natural resonance frequency of its respiratory system? (ove 2494-2*

Explanation / Answer

Ans 28)

Part a)

We have breathing rate = 30 breaths/minute = 0.5 breaths/second (30/60 breaths/second)

For resonance dog needs 5 breaths per second = 60*5 = 300 breaths/minute

Part b)

Dogs pant at resonant frequency because doing that requires minimal muscular effort from them. This results in less heat production by respiratory muscles and therefore adds very little to net heat load
