Question
The force between a charge of 25 C and a charge of-15 C is 9.0 N. What is the separation between the two charges?(shows your detail work) 0.61 m 0.45 m 0.53 m 0.75 m Two protons placed near one another with no other objects close by would be pulled together at constant speed. remain motionless. accelerate toward each other. accelerate away from each other. move away from each other at constant speed. 3 Consider an electron with mass m and charge -e located a distance r from a fixed proton with mass N and charge +e. The electron is released from rest. Which one of the following expressions for he magnitude of the initial acceleration of the electron is correct?Explanation / Answer
1)
F = kq1q2 / r^2
Given ;-
q1 = 25 x 10^-6 C
q2 = - 15 x 10^-6 C
F = 9 N
K = 9 x 10^9
9 = ( 9 x 10^9 x 25 x 10^-6 x 15 x 10^-6 ) / r^2
r = sqrt( 375 x 10^-3)
r = 0.6123 m ans :- (a)
2) if two protons are placed near each other by witch no other object placed near then they will accelerate towards each other
ans :- (c)
