What is the maximum speed attained by the fish during its fall? How far from the point of release is that maximum speed attained?

F = k*x

m*g = k*x

k = 10.8*9.8 / 0.23

k = 460.17 N*m

(v)

w = sqrt (k / m) = sqrt (460.17 / 10.8)

w = 6.52 rad/s

maximum speed is,

vmax = w*A = 6.52*0.60

vmax = 3.91 m/s

(c)

v = w*(A^2 - x^2)

3.91 = 6.52*((0.60)^2 - x^2)

x = -0.489 m

x = -48.98 cm
