Question
There is a small region of uniform magnetic field directed into the page. A flat loop of wire in the plane of the page approaches this region, begins to enter the region, travels in the region, exits the region, and travels away from the region. To be clear, the area described in (1) and (5) has no magnetic field. Which correctly describes the current induced in this loop? Clockwise in (2) and (3) and (4) Clockwise in (2) and CCW in (4) Counter-clockwise in (2) and (3) and (4) 0) CCW in (2) and clockwise in (4) None of the previous is correctExplanation / Answer
here,
area 5 has no magnatic field,
induced Current in loop is given by equation,
I = induced EMF/resistance
I = n*B*A/t*R
Where, B is magnatic field
A is area
t is time
R is resistance
I is current
so, induced current is rate of change of magnatic field w.r.t time when area in field increases or decreases.
Hence field is into the page so current will be clockwise,Part A is answer
