Question

Okay so for I'm doing the Egg Drop Project for my Physics class and our egg is being held by Rubber Bands in the middle. So when we drop the design going straight down on to the ground. What force do you consider to the rubber band to be?? Would it be Hooke Law, elasticity, tension? I'm a little confused on that.
And also could you answer how the rubber bands could prevent the egg from breaking ? Explanation / Answer

The force on the rubber band that is weight of the egg is considered to be an elastic force.

The force on the rubber band that is weight of the egg compresses the spring, and there will be no force acts on the egg. So, rubber band prevents from the breaking to the egg.
