equivalent resistance in the circuit when resistors are in series of same resistance is nR

so here Requivalent = 40 ohms

and in parallel connectio Requivalent = R/n

so Requivalent = 10/4 ohms=2.5 ohms

resistors in series have a Common Current flowing through them as the current that flows through one resistor must also flow through the others as it can only take one path.

so current through each resistor is 0.525 A

and in pareallel connection the current will be divided at each resistor here it is 21/10=2.1 A
