Medical practices are often structured depending on a variety of factors—finances, availability, location and space, etc. Sowers, Newman, and Langdon (2013) contend that there are a variety of medical practice structures, including, but not limited to: (1) solo practice, (2) group practice, and (3) multispecialty group practice.

Advantages and disadvantages
1. Group practice having more advantageous than solo in finance, economy, capital and manpower.
2. Solo is dealing with only general medical treatment as compare to the group practise where they are dealing with large no. of diseases
3. Mutispeciality group involved in more intensive care unit than both of 2.
4. More finance require in group practise and easily come from various others people but solo has to take as a single only.
5. Solo setup is easily build but for group it require best place for setup
6. In solo talent of single person is in use but in group lot of people come so they make quality patient treatment.
7. Mutispeciality group is in big budget as compare to the other two
8. Law is more firm on group and mutispeciality hospital than solo
9. Profit come in big amount in group practice as compare to solo
10. Risk dividetion is more in group practice
11. In solo you can take decision on your own but in group practice you have to discuss with the other member which require time
12. Large no. of capital investment required in group practice than solo practice
13. Group practice access large no. of patient as compare to solo practice
14. Solo has its limitations to provide facility under one roof only
15. To run the group practise proper planning is require whereas for solo no such planning require.
ACA impact mainly on the financial point of view on the solo, group and mutispeciality group practise by taking patient health insurance.
Any practise is aim with higher profit margin but law restrict because they have to wait for insurance of patient. Law also enforce on quality patient life rather than cost of treatment
