In utilizing the scientific method, political scientists have the ability to collect empirical data, or factual information, which allows them to present conclusions regarding human behavior as it relates to political matters. They do this in an attempt to understand the actions of people as they come into contact with their govermmental structures. Unfortunately for them, human behavior is not always predictable, which is why political science is categorized as a social science, rather than a natural science.

Explanation / Answer

There are some certain manners by which political scientists quantify data on a statistical basis. Despite they look like to be distinct, sensitive to debate and disagreement yet methodological and conceptual consistency is followed by them which is primarily related to the science and commonly look to match objectivity which is valued by a political scientist. Thus, by depending on the theories as the foundation of the discipline by following a modest scientific inquiry model, data is being quantified by the scientist.
