In light of the Genesis account of the fall of humanity and the curse on Adam (Gen. 3:17-19), work will now be difficult and painful. Reflect on Solomon's wisdom from Ecclesiastes 3:9-13 (ESV):

"What gain has the worker from his toil? I have seen the business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man."

In the beginning when God created Adam and Eve,God commanded to eat the fruit of any tree except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.But one day Adam and Eve didnot obey God's word and God cursed them that they will have a painful toil throughout their life .And until you die and reach to ground you will eat your food by the sweat of your brow.This is the curse by God.So man is working hard to lead life on this Earth.

King Solomon is a great king.He is blessed by God with Knowledge and wisdom and riches .No one before and after him has such a knowledge and wisdom.

He has seen how people are working under the sun for food and their needs.And whatever they get is spent in their life.People spent most of their time in working and getting their needs fulfilled.God gives painful work so that we experience the work and we can experience God's love and help in that work. But there is another important thing in this world to remember the creator who has done all this beautiful things for us.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of the wisdom.So fear the Lord so that you can be away from evil.And work hard so that you can enjoy the fruit of your work throughout your life.
