1.Geologists are employed mainly by scientific research groups for scientific findings. Other types of businesses for which geologists are mainly employed are for TV channels were a live telecast of people examining rocks are shown daily. These are useful for both common people as well as for other category of research scholars.

2.Geology is not a boring field and it just cannot be seen from a single point of view. Geology has many subdisciplinaries like mineralogy,sedimentalogy,astrogeology etc. These not only deal with rock structure,apart from that they deal with mineral composition,sediments present in various parts of the soil,the type of soil structure,the temperature changes in the surrounding etc. Thus from geology various information can be obtained.
