Explanation / Answer

In the given table first of all we need to check why does the colour changes with changing oxidation states and later will explain the least stable oxidation state of manganese.

Normally from +2 to +7 oxidation state the acidity increases from +2 to +7 where Mn (+2) oxidation state is considered as most stable and has a pale pink colour. This colour is shown in variation, because of the change in electronic configuration due to which different colour zone of light is absorbed and the complementary colour is seen by us.

Now, the colour will change with varying molecule with which the manganese will attach. Hence, it is predicted differently in different complexes.

As per the stability is concerned, the least stable state here is +6 . It is becuase this oxidation stae undergoes disproportionation in which the large oxidation state spontaneously changes into two smaller oxidation species out of which one is higher and another is lower.
