The steps to check Limiting agent should be as follows :

1) Balance the given chemical reaction

2) COnvert all the given masses of the reactant into moles by dividing with respective molar mass

3) Divide the no of moles of each Reactant by its respective stiochiometric coefficient in balanced reaction.

The smallest value after division will be the limiting reagent..
