Question
I need brief explanation and the solution with the equation pls (Thermodynamics)
Mad scientist Dr. Fritz Seger has developed a special body suit that incorporates a heat engine. If a human body at 37 degree C is acting as the hot reservoir, and room air at 20. degree C is acting as the cold reservoir, what is the maximum amount of work in kJ that can be extracted from body heat in one hour? Assume that a typical resting human body releases 100. J of heat every second, and that 85 % of this body heat enters the heat engine.Explanation / Answer
The bond releases 100"J of heat every second
The effeciency = 85%
so heat used = 85 joules / second
So the heat used for work / hour = 85 X 60 X 60 = 306 KJ
