Infact prevention is better than cure. So the first and foremost step would be the change in dietary intake.

Diet should be free from fats, high lipid content, and high processed sugars and salts.

Diet should be rich in protein, Fibre with foods like greens, fresh fruits and vegetables, Oats, brown rice etc.

Diet should be devoid of high sodium content as the sodium has the tendency to retain water and fat content in the body.

High potassium foods like dry nuts, dates, bananas must be incorporated.

Vitamin c containing fruits like kiwis, lemon, oranges etc must be taken on regular basis.

Coming to the physical exercise, daily exercise should be a must to encounter stress.

Physical activities release endorphins, neurotransmitter substances which can be helpful in maintaining the well being of the individual.

First the change should be started from the family itself, so family members should commit to a strict diet and should create awareness among the children regarding the adverse health affects of eating fast foods, obesity etc.

Health professionals should take an active participation for educating the people in the community regarding the health benefits of daily exercise and benefits of eating vegetables and fresh fruits instead of processed foods.

The people in the community should come forward in restricting the children from taking fast foods.

Schools should prevent the children from bringing heavy fat containing foods like cheese etc.

Parents should be coming out with new initiatives and new ideas to engage children in extra curricular activities other than computers and television.

This can create new interests in children.
