Explanation / Answer

1) we have to use the equation Kp = Kc (RT)n

2CH4= C2H2 + 3H2

n = total number of moles of products - total number of moles in reactants

= 3+1 -2

= 2

R = 0.08206, T = 273 + 1664 = 1937 K

plug in the values

Kp = 0.155 x ( 0.08206 x 1937 )2 = 3916.1072

second one also same but this time he has given Kp

plug the all values and get the answer

N2 + 3H2= 2NH3

n = 2-4 = -2, T = 273 + 254 = 527K, R is same

K = 2.80 x 10-3/ ( 0.08206 x 527 K)-2 = 12.7

K = 5.2365
