The accident happen on a day when the temperature was 25 degree C and the pressure was 0.980 atm. What volume of N2 was produced as a result of the elves loading the airbag with 78.2g of NaN3? Will Santa's face be ripped off?

NaN3 == > Na + N2

moles of 78.2 g NaN3 = 78.2/65 = 1.2 moles

so moles of N2 formed will be = 1.2

now,

PV = nRT

Volume of N2 = 1.2*0.0821*298/0.98

                        = 29.95 L

so 29.95 is less than 40 L , face will not be ripped off
