11. Plants have chlorophyll molecules which is green in colour. Plant absorb light in form of energy and convert it into chemical energy for making a food is called as photosynthesis. Chlorophyll is most light harvesting pigment. The plants absorbs all non green light the blue (425-450 nm), the red, and yellow (600-700 nm). Photosyntheis is increased in red, blue and yellow light. The green light is not absorbed by plants then reflected back which gives the leaves of plants their green colour.
