Question

The blood vessels are usually made up of three tune layers called externa, media, and intermix. In which kind vessel externa and media are missing: a) Arteries b) Veins c) Sinuses d) Capillaries d) Lymphatics Malformation of the fetal membrane "chorion" would affect. a) Fetus ability produce ABC's b) Fetal breathing c) Fetal nutrition from the mother d) Fetal ability to form organs e) Fetal ability to complete metamorphosis The dorsal root of a spinal nerve contains: a) Axons of motor neurons b) Axons of sensory neurons c) Cell bodies of interneurons d) Cell bodies of motor reruns e) Cell bodies of sensory neurons In MS (multiple sclerosis) a progressive damage of myelin sheath of peripheral nerves happen. This will cause: a) Poor sensory control b) Poor motor control c) Loss of Synapsis d) Inactivation of neurotransmitters e) Loss of Action Potential The role of H. Pylori in peptic ulcer is linked to: a) Activation of acid secreting parietal cells b) Atrophic gastritis c) Effect on the pyloric sphincter d) weakening of digestive immune cells e) Stress ulcers

Explanation / Answer

Answer 33 - Option d.

Explanation - Capillaries have intima (interna) layer. Externa and media are missing. In arteries are present all the three tunics (externa, media and interna). In veins interna is missing and media and externa are present. Lymphatics and venous sinuses shows same composition as that of veins. Arterial sinuses have composition simeilar to arterioles and arteries.

Answer 34 - Option c

Explanation - The chorion develops at the beginning of a pregnancy, between the developing fetus and the mother and continues to grow throughout the pregnancy. Function of chorion is to provide nutrion from mother to fetus. Thus malfunction of chorion primarily affects fetus nutrtion.

Answer 35 - Option e

Explanation - Dorsal root of spinal nerve contains dorsal root ganglion. The dorsal root ganglia contain cell bodies of sensory neurons.

Answer 36 - Option b

Explanation - Peripheral motor nerve abnormalities are observed in the multiple sclerosis of PNS, especially with the amplitude of motor nerves. However, no difference among the nerve conduction velocity parameters of sensory nerves occur.

Answer 37 - Option b

Explanation - Atrophic gastritis means atrophy of gastric mucosa and is developed because of chronic gastritis. Chronic gastritis can be associated with H. pylori infection and ulcers. H. pylori does not modify parietal cell mass and their activation for acid secretion. It also does not influence pyloric sphincter. The stress ulcer is different than the H. pylori ulcer. Though H. pylori evades the immune system, it is because of the anergic response and therefore, weak antibody respone by immune cells. It has effect on innate immune system and not specifically on digestive immune cells.
