Question
Suppose a hurricane blows down most of the trees in a forest. Timber company officials offer to salvage the fallen trees and replant a tree plantation to reduce the chances of fire and to improve the area's appearance. In return, they want an agreement that they can harvest the trees when they mature and plant another tree farm. Others argue that the damaged forest should be left alone because hurricanes and other natural events are part of nature and the dead trees will serve as a source of nutrients for natural recovery through ecological succession. What do you think should be done and why?
Explanation / Answer
I suggest that salvage the fallen trees and replant. Because by the forest fires most of the ecological disturbances are occured. Cyclones are occured in nature are one of the part, But now by releasing very harmfull green house gases, unstabilisation of atmosphere by man made events the cyclones are frequently occured. By the unseasonal attack by the cyclones many trees are fallen and destroyed. Then forest fires occurs. So we have also a role in the destruction of forests. So there need to be rectify the problem by us. So replantation and salvage are the processes to remake the forest healthy. By this process we can protect ecological factors also.
