Explanation / Answer
Bowens reaction series tells us the crystallization sequence of minerals fwhich are forming from magma. It has continuous reaction series in which plagioclase minerals crystallize simultaneously with decreasing temperatures and discontinuous reaction series in which minerals like olivine and pyroxene will crystallize at intervals of temperatures
2) felsic which are rich in silica. Example granite
Mafic , low in silica content. Example basalt
Intermediate, medium silica content. Example diorite
Ultramafic, very low silica content. Example peridotite
3) texture is the mutual relationship between grains size , shape etc. the common textures of igneous rocks are porphyritic and poikilitic , equigranular etc
porphyritic texture - when larger crystals are surrounded by fine grained crystals
poikilitic texture- when small crystals are surrounded by larger crystals
