Question

I am trying to find the moles of Ca+2 present in original solution. I also need the mass of CaCl2 present in original solution. My balanced equation is: K2CO3 + CaCl2 --> CaCO3 + 2KCl

Trial one of the experiment had us add 50 mL water to 2.0 grams of CaCl (after it had sat out and absorbed water, therefore weighing 4.7 g after 24 hours).

Trial two of the experiment had us add 50 mL water to 2.0 grams of CaCl (not waiting the 24 hours so mass stayed the same)

Thank you for any help! I am most grateful!

Explanation / Answer

.0343 moles /.05L .685M Ca2+
