3NaHCO3 + C6H8O7 -----> Na3C6H5O7 + 3CO2 + 3H2O moles of sodium bicarbonate = 3.1 / 84 = 0.0369 moles of citric acid = 4.4 / 192 =0.0229166 since one mole citric acid requires 3 moles sodium bicarbonate thererfore 0.0229166 moles citric acid requires 0.0687498 moles of sodium bicarbonate since there is not that much sodium bicarbonate so it acts as limitting reagent since 3 moles sodium bicarbonate gives one mole of sodium citrate so 0.0369 moles gives 0.0123 moles of sodium citrate so mass of sodium citrate produced = 0.0123 * 258 = 3.1734 g ans.
