Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental psychiatric disorder. In this disorder, the individuals faces problem with executive functions, which causes attention deficits, hyperactivity, or impulsiveness. The low level of dopamine is the main cause of ADHD.
b.
Central Nervous System (CNS) stimulants are given to clients with Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as it stimulates the neurotransmitter release called Dopamine. It is believed to be the chemical in charge for attention, movement and motivation that is lacking in this kind of patient.
