SUMIF for a Year-to-Date row of data

I am trying to add a row of numbers, based on the particular month I am looking at. For example, if I enter the number "7" in a particular cell, I want the target cell to show the addition of January to July. Or enter "8" then add January to August. I have my monthly data in cells along one row. What I need is to the see only the YTD amount in a particular cell.

No doubt this is a question that has been asked many times over, but I could not find the particular answer in the community chats.

The formula for YTD::

=SUMIF(B20:M20,"<="&B23,B21:M21).

adapt the ranges to your model..

You can also hide the data for the months higher than the given month with conditional format...

Use a formula: =B$20>$B$23 and format the font as white.
