Question
4) Show your work as you perform the following calculations reaction: Fe2O3 + 3 H2- 2 Fe + 3 H2O i) How many moles of H2 do you need to completely react with 2.76 moles related to this chemical of Fe,0.2 3pm i) How many grams of Fe can be produced with the amount of Fe.O, in part 1? (4 p ili) If you carried out this reaction and it produced 278.9 g Fe, what was the percent If you can't figure out part ii, assume the answer was 350.0g. +701 w your work in your calculations related to this reactom.4 Fe oarts with 2.11 moles of O2, how much Fe0, wExplanation / Answer
i) standard reaction predicts that 1 mole Fe2O3 required 3 mole of hydrogen to complete the reaction.
so, amount of hydrogen required for 2.76 mole of Fe2O3 = 2.76*3 = 8.28 mole
ii)1 mole Fe2O3 produces 2 mole Fe
hence, 2.76 mole produces = 2*2.76 = 5.52 mole = 5.52*56 = 309.12 gm (1 mole Fe = 56 gm)
iii) % of production = [278.9 / 309.12]*100 =90.2 %
