Question
Please help me Part A through C. Having a hard time.
Part A Problem 9.42 grams of 4.5 % (m/m) NaCl solution that contains 6.70 g of NaCl Express your answer to two significant figures and include the appropriate units For each of the following solutions, calculate the ValueUnits Submit My Answers Give Up Part B milliliters of 35 % (m/v) NaF solution that contains 6.8 g of NaF Express your answer to two significant figures and include the appropriate units Value Units Submit My Answers Give Up Part C milliliters of 6.2 % (v/v) ethanol solution that contains 28.1 mL of ethanolExplanation / Answer
part A
m/m% = mass of solute(NaCl) present in 100 grams solution.
so that, 4.5%(m/m) means 4.5 gram NaCl present in 100 grams solution.
mass of solution contains 6.7 g = 6.7*100/4.5 = 148.9 g
part B
m/v% = mass of solute(NaF) present in 100 ml solution.
so that, 35%(m/v) means 35 gram NaF present in 100 ml solution.
volume of solution contains 6.8 g of NaF = 6.8*100/35 = 19.43 ml
part C
v/v% = volume of solute(ethanol) present in 100 ml solution.
so that, 6.2%(v/v) means 6.2 ml ethanol present in 100 ml solution.
volume of solution contains 28.1 ml ethanol = 28.1*100/6.2 = 453.225 ml
