Add cold NaOH solution to the unknown solution, and if a pungent smelling gas is released which turns red litmus blue, then the gas is NH3 and the ion is NH4+.

PO43- ion reacts with (NH4)2MoO4 in acidic conditions to give a yellow ppt.
