Question
This sketch is about 1800 pm wide. The coordinate (x, y, and 2) axes are also shown. You can rotate the sketch for a better view of the orbital by dragging the slider with your mouse. alb Suppose an atom with its nucieus at the origin has an electron in a 3dorbital. Complete each row of the table below by deciding how Pa. the probability of finding the electron at point A, compares to Pg the probability of finding the electron at point B. point A point B PA to 200 pm behind the nucieus, along the y axis. 200 pm to the righe of the nucleus, along the +x axisOP 200 pm to the let of the nucleus, along the -x axis. 200 pm above the nucleus, along the +z axis 200 pm in front of the nuceus, iong the yaxis 200 pm below the nucleus along the -zaxis I Don't Know SubmtExplanation / Answer
First one PA=PB
The electron density on both the position is same.so the probability density will be also same.
Second one PA>PB
200pm above the nucleus along z axis there is no electron density.
THIRD one PA>PB
Similarly here 200 pm below from the nucleus doesn't have any electron density. So probability density also less.
