A) Fe2t(aq)+S2-(aq)+2 Kt(aq) 2 NO3-(aq) Fes(s 2 K*(a) 2 NO3-(aq) B) Fe2+(aq)+s2-(aq) FeS(s) C) K (a)+NO3 (aq) KNO3(s) D) Fe2+(aq)+ S2-(aq)+ 2 Kt(aq) 2 NO3-(aq) Fe2+(aq)+S2-(aq)+2 KNO3(s) E) No reaction occurs.Explanation / Answer
1)
we have the Balanced chemical equation as:
Fe2O3 + 3 CO ---> 2 Fe + 3 CO2
1 mol of Fe2O3 reacts with 3 mol of CO
for 10 mol of Fe2O3, 30 mol of CO is required
But we have 25 mol of CO
so, CO is limiting reagent
we will use CO in further calculation
Molar mass of Fe = 55.85 g/mol
From balanced chemical reaction, we see that
when 3 mol of CO reacts, 2 mol of Fe is formed
mol of Fe formed = (2/3)* moles of CO
= (2/3)*25
= 17 mol
