Cancel out the common ions from both sides and write

2b) H2SO4 and Ba(OH)2 are both strong electrolytes and dissociate in aqueous solution; the products of the reaction are BaSO4 (insoluble in aqueous medium) and H2O (a poor electrolyte; doesn’t dissociate in aqueous medium).

Total ionic equation for the reaction:

2 H+ (aq) + SO42- (aq) + Ba2+ (aq) + 2 OH- (aq) -------> BaSO4 (aq) + 2 H2O (l)
