The fundamental purpose of any organization is to succeed. To succeed, organizations need certain strategies in place. Strategy in turn helps to achieve the organizational goals. Everything is inter-connected. Strategy is a unifying theme which gives directions to the actions, and helps the individuals and organizations to take decisions. So, to lay down a strong foundation of strategy, organizations need to understand the core purpose of its existence. With the new emerging markets and competitors, organizations should position themselves in primacy to their competitors. This triggers the need to foster the strategic innovation and seeking the uncontested markets. As mentioned earlier, everything is interconnected and ultimately, it is the organization which should have the fundamental purpose, a vision and mission for being successful and to stay competitive.  

Yes, that is true for individuals too. Every Individual has a purpose to be fulfilled. And that needs to nurtured and taken care of for establishing a successful career. Hence comes the career planning. Any successful career planning comes with a zeal to strive and succeed. And the foundation for the successful career planning comes with a purpose in life and a choice of personal career.
