Buchanan invested substantially in communication strategies that would ensure optimal communicaton.

b.   Ambiguity among employees about company’s expectations, goals and objectives
c.   Miscommunication to employees with respect to the roles and responsibilities assigned to them

CEO Bruce Buchanan is the most important person who can communicate the company’s ideas, expectation and goals with proper ethical consideration. He is the one, employees are looking up to as far as direction, motivation and leadership is concerned. Thus, effective communication with clarity can lead the employees to achieve the objectives. In the absence of proper communication, employees will not get a clearly defined responsibilities and it will become the source of demotivation. Also, delayed information about the company’s progress will make them nonaligned with the company. Finally, it will cause an increase in employee turnover of the company.

As a good communicator, he builds synergy between company and employees. Employees know that what is expected out of them and they align their interest and benefits with the growth of the company. Further, employees understand the company’s vision and it gives them much needed motivation to deliver their best performance.
