After reading the article, it instantly lead me back to conducting large meeting from our textbook, Organization Development and Change. Within it, Cummings and Worley states that when large groups meet and there is a lot of frustration and anger and the force to make a decision can lead the group to "emotional contagion" (312). In this instance, the CIA had to make a decision that were based off of assumptions and ended up making matters worse off. When holding large meeting of this level of importance, when statements are made as facts there should be proof to prove fact from opinion. Reference Cumming & Worley (2015). The comments made by the person are quite sensible and logical in light of the proceedings that took place. Senator Carl M Levin himself, admitted in the press conference that there is a tremendous pressure inside the agency. many questions asked of CI remain unanswered. The agency had found that despite the Vice president Cheney's assertions and of some other high officials, CIA had found no credible evidence to sustain that a purported meeting took place in Prague in 2001 between Iraqi intelligence agent and Mohammed Atta, one of the 9/11 hijackers. This is a very important statement made by the senator which again goes on to substantiate the comment made that in large meetings of high level of importance, there should be credible evidence to prove fact from opinion.
