Question
Aisha is an administrative assistant in the Human Resources Department. Her friend, Fatima, is applying for a job with the company and Aisha has agreed to serve as a reference for her. Fatima asks her for advice on how to prepare for the interview. Aisha has the actual interview questions asked of all applicants and considers making Fatima a copy of the list so she can prepare. Should she help her friend? What options does Aisha have for action? What are the implications of each option? (Who is affected? How are they affected? What are the possible results?) What do you believe she should do? Support your decision with ethical arguments. The following is the rubric for the case study:Explanation / Answer
1. Yes, Aisha should help her friend Fatima but not with the copy of actual questions.
2. Aisha should help her friend Fatima by giving the hint of what type of general questions are asked for this post. Secondly Aisha should tell Fatima about the company, environment and culture.
3. Firstly if Aisha tells the questions and if the interviewer gets any clue that Fatima may be knowing these questions by the style of her perfect answers may be both can loose the job. Secondly if Aisha dont tell questions to Fatima may or may not get the job.
4. Aisha should not tell the actual questions to fatima, this will be good for both. If Fatima desire to get the job then she should try hard to get the job.
