Report on the feedback received by me from my senior:
"You have demonstrated the required capability and competency to perform well and excel in the current role of an equity analyst. You have a firm grip on the technical aspects and can execute and deliver a project efficiently.
Going forward, you need to prepare yourself for additional responsibilities for the future. Focus should be given on developing soft skills that will help you manage a team of analysts in the future. Develop your communication skills, people management skills and hone your leadership qualities and traits. These will help you in your future role as a team lead. As a team lead you will have to guide and mentor your team members. Focus on developing problem-solving skills, decision making skills and time management skills for the entire team."
Changes made to my personal development plan to make it stronger and more achievable:
I have changed my personal development plan to focus more on the requirements of my future role as a team lead. Emphasis is more on soft skills and people management skills. I have now included a comprehensive list of areas of development in my plan in the context of requirements of my role. Earlier the emphasis was on keeping an eye on the changing dynamics of the knowledge sector only. Now the emphasis is also on what i need to do to fulfill the requirements of my new role, what are my strengths and how to leverage it, what are my weaknesses and how to address it. In the light of feedback, i have changed my personal development plan to make it more specific as well as more relevant to my new role.
