Extensive problem solving (EPS): When consumer is buying a new product and don't know technical details of the product or want to purchase expensive product. Then the consumer will do extensive research by comparing the product of different brands and alternative to that product. He will invest lot of his time in it to find out the product which matches his benchmark.

Limited problem solving (LPS): When the consumer has already experience with the product, he invest his time to choose the model or brand. This is the case of limited research or Limited Problem solving

Routinized response behavior (RRB): Consumers are already used to product of the particular brand. He is happy with it, then he does not spend time on researching in it. He may wait for discount period and buy in huge volume as the product is not a risk buy for him.
