Once the sample is given follow with them for the bulk order from time to time. after this i would send a quote describing about the item and the best price for the products, I shall ensure that the person whom i am dealing with has good reputation in the company so that he or she does not come under scanner for any misdoings. As a salesperon i would ensure that the supply is done to the client as and when the demand is raised would also ensure that i have good relation with the colleagues and the staffs so that i tend to be regarded as the respectable person. The three scenarios of buying be through quote, asking for the three best quotes and than comparing the quotes with the lowest price finally placing the order to whosoever is the lowest and good in terms of providing service and reliability.
